All others shown are included in your basic square foot pricing.

Beware of Unbelievably Low Granite Square Foot Pricing!!

The following checklist will help you to realize what you are getting:

• Compare the thickness (3/4" or 2cm versus 1 1/4" or 3cm)
• Is the granite Commercial Grade (i.e. contains more pits/holes that are filled with resin material)
• Colors are often limited to 1-3 only
• Some seams are required, often excessively low pricing indicates numerous seams as they are trying to piece together remnants
• Will you be charged extra for cut outs (i.e. sinks, cooktops, outlet holes, faucet holes, etc)?
• How many edge profiles can you select from?  Many times it is only 1 or 2.  Others are upgrades with a significant increase in cost.
• What kind of quality will you receive?  Is it being fabricated out of a facility or a backyard?
• Will your fabricator be around in 3 months in the event that you have a problem?

THE RULE OF THUMB:

Obtain a total estimate from whomever you select as your countertop company.  This will protect you from "hidden" charges.  Don't hesitate to ask questions about the quality of the product and it's recommended care.  Granite should be sealed upon installation at no additional charge.  This will enable you to enjoy your new countertops for years without having to worry about an accidental spill while you are learning to care for it.
